How to read this comparison
We build one of these two products, so treat the framing accordingly. Everything here about BoldTrail comes from its own FAQ, read on 4 November 2026. Products change, so check boldtrail.com before you decide, and hold us to the same standard.
They are not the same kind of product
BoldTrail is Inside Real Estate's platform and the next generation of kvCORE. Its FAQ describes a CRM, IDX websites, marketing automation, lead generation, transaction management and recruiting on one system, with BackOffice and Recruit as separate modules. Realtor Desk is a CRM for the working agent. If you need agent billing, commission accounting and a recruiting pipeline in one system, that is a real requirement and we do not meet it.
What their FAQ does not say
It names no list price and makes no statement about where client data is stored, CREA DDF or French-language support. That describes what is published, not what the product lacks. Ask them directly if those matter to you.
What we will say about ourselves
The client database runs in Canada, though some features, such as SMS, email delivery and AI-assisted drafting, use providers that may process data outside Canada. Pricing is in CAD: $149 a month for Solo and $299 for Team. The interface and client-facing email work in English and French. CASL consent is recorded per contact, and sends are refused when it is missing. Listings import from Realtor.ca today; native CREA DDF® sync is on the roadmap and is not live. Today it is a single-agent product: shared seats and lead routing are planned.
Who should pick which
A team or brokerage that wants IDX websites, campaigns, back office and recruiting in one platform should look at BoldTrail. A Canadian agent who wants a CRM that works in two languages and is billed in Canadian dollars is who we built for. The comparison of Canadian CRM options covers the rest of the field, and the buying guide sets out how to run the evaluation yourself.
